Leave the Curtain Open

Artist statement:

Leave the Curtain Open" is a photography project about capturing those , existing memories regardless if they were mine or not . I wanted to share moments from my teenage years and younger adolescents exploring new places, to more recent experiences with revisiting them and My perspective on them now. Each photo is hidden behind a colored curtain which you can pull back by pulling the right string down.  Showing how closely I identify with that certain memory. Opening the curtain is like stepping into a personal moment. Allowing each individual to have their own personal experience with a memory.  The scale is also part of the design, to allow the audience member to break the boundary of contemporary Art display. This project is about how memories change us and how we find balance as we grow older. This project is about reflection and those little moments that shape us.
